    PSU Connections - what to where

    Noob help please -

    Just about to transplant my system into a lovely new case, and I know I read somewhere about best practice on connecting things to the PSU rails. e.g. dont connect hard drives & video card to same PSU connector etc.

    Anyone got any links to guides for this or can tell me what not to connect up to same rail / cable.

    Have the following things to connect up:

    * 3 SATA Drives - 2 * molex/sata 1*molex power
    * Video Card (Molex connector)
    * 2 120mm Case fans (think 1 is motherboard connection, but 1 is Molex)
    * Mobo
    * Floppy, DVD, DVD-RW & Silverstone Fan Controller (Molex)

    For what you have it won't really matter and in theory the idea rarely matters either.

    I would stick a single molex line on the graphics card and share everything else evenly.

    You'll find the whole thing may run on one rail anyway but on dual lines.
