CPU Cooler recommendation

Iv desided to change my CPU cooler to an aftermarket HSF and was wondering which HSF would be suitable for my setup.

If you're open to suggestions, then a Ninja over the 9500 any day.

New version is due out very soon which is AM2 compatible. Old one is out of stock in most places I think.

You could also consider the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro - CustomPC rave about it:

I have one in my new Core2Duo and it's doing a fine job.

I'll go one better than that. Get a Freezer 7 Pro, take the fan off and mount a Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000 120mm fan on it with cable ties / sewing elastic... the result = 13dB quieter and just as good cooling (both items are available cheap at Scan BTW).

Yeah i will def get one of these for my Core2Duo which i will hopefully get soon. Seems to be alot better than the stock HSF

Big fan of my Zalman CNPS9500LED, the zalman site gives great pics and diagrams of how big your case needs to be.

Just ordered myself one of these: Scythe Infinity .

More expensive than the Arctic Cooler and significantly larger, but my objective was more about reducing noise than allowing overclocking. (Although it will allow me a lot of headroom to overclock!) Check these reviews: Freezer PRO 7 vs. Scythe Infinity or perhaps even a Thermalright Ultra-120 . Or hang around for another few weeks and pick up the new Scythe Ninja Plus .

I agree with Samadhi, the Infinity is a fantastic cooler, its on the LARGE:
size but it does a fantastic job.

have a look at the thermalright s1-128 as well, its not got the looks of the scythe ones, but it cools great and it also cools the area round the cpu.

I've got an infinity myself. I would have bought a Ninja Plus (as apparently they're better with low air flow) but I'm pleasantly surprised how easy the infinity was t install (S939) over the Ninja.

Scythe Mine is a fav of mine, I had the Tuniq Tower, best cooler I've ever had until I went to H2O, and this is exactly the same. really good idea havign the fan in the middle, works really well.
