About LinkBacksI use my MX 700 on my bed, about 10 feet away. I charge the batteries once a week. The batteries in my keyboard I've yet to replace and I've had it for almost 3 months. I got the MX duo.

I don't know what the exact battery life of the MX700 is supposed to be, but I used mine at a LAN for around 36 hours without a charge and the red light never even came on. Infact the only time I have seem the red light on mine was when I first got it and it needed charging up.
directhex, would that set work alright with my computer, or do I need something special to use the bluetooth stuff? Or do I just plug it straight in? I think I know what I am asking the GF for, for my birthday. That keyboard is just sexual

Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
boomslang's build quality are tosh, had one for 6months and the left click died, and de-fluffing the ball got boring.
mx700 is easily as good as the boomslang, with the added bonus of no cord to get caught on anything.
battery life, umm, not sure, well over 24 hours at least, but I just slap it back in the charger when I leave the pc anyway.

Mx500 or 700. I use both daily & hav done fo some time. Rugged n reliable. Best rodents by far

the boomer speed is just the same with differnt colour and the control is worse version... it looks as though they couldnt make the bs2.5 which they said they would relese about now

mine should be comming today
logitech mx, the best you can afford gets my vote. the ms mice are also very good.
i have a bluetooth mx900, but was very happy with my ms explorer for years.
