    Thanks mate. There was a handy comparison DS4 vs DS3 in that thread.

    Essentially the DS4 has the coolpipe, RAID and SLI (2 x PCIE-16x). Otherwise identical AFAICS.

    The DS3 has RAID/AHCI as well but only on the two Gigabyte SATA connectors. The other 4 are all powered from the non-RAID version of the Intel chipset.

    I have my SATA2 drive in AHCI mode working on port 1 of the Gigabyte pair just fine. (Not really bothered about RAID myself).

    Bummer. I go to order the Asrock, and it looks like I was prescient. SCAN have stopped selling it altogether. Only place I can find it in stock is on OC and they're charging £46.

    I like the look of this on SCAN: ECS NFORCE4-A939, good price, but again out of stock. Will it ever come back in?
