CPU Seems low 3DMark 05
Hi
My 05 score seems low
If it is low could it be because the cpu is not performing?
My old 3.4 Prescott which cost me £140 has a better score on cpu test 2 than my 3.46 955 Presler Extreme which cost me £680
My scores are as text because i am unable to publish my latest scores it may be due to drivers for my card.
All settings in CCC are set to performance
3DMark Score 9415
CPU Score 3432
CPU Test 1- 3.0 fps
CPU Test 2- 1.8 fps
better score at 2.6 fps with HT disabled
Old system

If your running Catalyst 6.9 (the latest) then you won't be able to publish (I am in the same boat)......seems they drag their heels on clearing the ATI drivers, yet rush to OK the nVidia driver releases......no prizes for figuring out who the Futuremark crew prefer =/
Can you run 06 instead? I have a number of saved 06 results from the various configs I have had this year.

Thanx shaithis
I do not have any results from my old system to compair
3DMark Score 6379 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 2501 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 2722 Marks
CPU Score 2258 Marks
CPU1 - Red Valley 0.733 FPS
CPU2 - Red Valley 1.113 FPS

Odd, those scores look about right to me.
I have an X1950XTX and a Core2Duo @ 3.2Ghz and my scores are:
3DMark Score 6789 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 2577 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 2818 Marks
CPU Score 2824 Marks
CPU1 - Red Valley 0.892 FPS
CPU2 - Red Valley 1.430 FPS
As you can see, your CPU results aren't that far behind my overclocked conroe scores.....BUT.....according to Toms CPU charts there should be quite a difference between them.
My previous CPU scores were:
Pentium-D @ 3.5GHz = ~1700
Opty 175 @ 2.7GHz = ~2000
Which makes your 2258 seem quite normal.
What were you scoring with the old CPU?

Yeh my scores do look pretty good perhaps i am worrying over nothing.
Just seemed a very low 05 2nd cpu result compaired to some getting 5 and 6 fps
Here are my old system scores using 05 i do not have any old 06 scores

The cat 6.10 drivers are out this month some time which will be compatable with the X1950XTX wich i am hoping will make the ddr4 mem shine a bit more:)

Over the past few days i have been messing around with ram timings.
I found that if i relaxed the delay on my ram from 5.5.5.15 to 5.5.5.20 my cpu score went up to 6764 Test 1= 3.4 fps Test 2= 6.0 fps.
Allthough this change makes no diference to any other 3D benchmark my ram is not performing as it should in PCMark05.
