Question Multiple Flat screen on one PC

I want to send different dynamic graphical information to three flat screen monitors connected to the same PC. Can anyone advise as to what type of graphic cards I need to do this, and what type of slots are required on the motherboard, ie PCI-E x16 or PCI-E x4 or PCI-E x1, or are they a different type of slot.
Most of the information I get from the web only talks about multiple inputs to a single screen, not about multiple screens on the same PC.

use whatever fits in your PC. if you have graphics cards with multiple connections, use them. as long as it goes in & windows is happy with it, it'll work. i had a housemate at uni who ran a 4-screen setup with a voodoo5, matrox g400, and x2vnc'd laptop

Don't forget integrated graphics cards can also add extra options - something like the ATI Xpress 200 boards with an extra graphics card can drive 4 displays (2 off intergrated chip, 2 off graphics card).

Maxtor sill have the best drivers and software for doing this, especially when you need multiple cards to drive them. They also have an external box which takes a single output and makes it fit two or three monitors. It does more than stretch it, actually makes the graphics card thing the screen is ultra wide etc.
