    Unhappy BIG 3D Card Problem

I am a bit of a Muppet as I have just bought a new Gainward GeForce 7950GT Golden Sample 256MB PCIE Dual DVI for my new Shuttle XPC Barebone SK22G2.

But in my excitement i didn’t think to check if it would fit before i bought it and guess what it doesn't!

Can anyone recommend any ideas on what i should do next?
e.g. Find out if scan can exchange the 3D card for a smaller card that is the same value?

    Thanks

Im sure scan will swap it for you if you havent used it and kept all the original packaging etc, might be best to post in the Scan forum

The 3D card is so big it has a PCI back plate the size of 2 slots so the side wall of the shuttle stops it from fitting at the back.

so the backplate isnt too tall, just too wide? does it look like it would fit if it only took up 1 slot?

the G80 is the 8800 which is the first of the direct x 10 graphics cards to be released early next month, late this month. There have been a lot of rumors about it but from what people have been saying on the xtreme systems forums that is an extremely fast graphics card and beats even the 7950GX2 (which is SLI on a single card incase you didn't know). Which is a truly awesome feat, so I have been advising everybody who is in the market for graphics cards to go cheapo at least until it has been released (in whihc case all current cards will become cheaper). So its a win win situation .

the 8800GTS should be round about in the range where the 7950gt is now. with the GTX being the premium card for the time being. with the possibility (not likely given the power and heat expected) of a SLI card like the 7950GTX in the future.

id wait myself, there getting really close now.
