Just a quick question..........
I've just found a HDD from my old 486 system, does anyone remember pentium 166mmx's???? Anyway I think its 540mb. Is it worth keeping or should it be put to rest and burried?
Thx Smirnoff

Bury it.
lol, well i can't think of a good reason for it, other than a door stop.
You can pick up 20Gb drives for less than a tenner on ebay (Buy It Now) these days.
Get the magnets out - they're great.
It'll take a fair effort (a bit of brute force and prising apart) but it's worth it for the powerful magnets. Just keep them away from your colour CRT...
lol. yeah that was the answer(s) i kinda expected.
Oh so what about my 2 FDD's and 3 CD-ROM's and 1 CD-RW drives? Dont ask what make they are cos they're at my parents house
And before anyone says anything. No I'm not scouse and No they didn't fall off the back of a lorry. No offence to scallies btw my dad's one.....
Try and do a window mod on it, and plug it back in (somewhere) and watch the inwards I plan to do that on one of my old ones, but need one of those star shaped screwdrivers
Well I keep old FDDs because occasionally they come in handy (and 2 is OK coz you might find one doesn't work when you try it!). Keep the newest CD(s) in case your existing packs up. But 99.9% probability you'll never use them again.
Last year I had a clear out of everything pre-2000 in the garage and I had to take a trip to the dump.
