Which CPU

Hi All

Was originally planning to go conroe...but can't really afford the outlay so am in the market for a new socket 939 CPU. I hear on the grapevine that AMD are slashing CPU prices towards the end of the month... my question is simple....which out of the 2 would you go for (current prices noted)...

Opteron 185

or

X2 4800

CPU will be cooled by water as part of a full system cooling loop (cpu/dual vga/chipset)

4800... binning of dual core Optys IMO makes little diff.. most will (including optys) will hit a wall around 2.8ish..

so no point paying the extra for an Opty for dual core unless its for dual socket 940s like in my lab..

not much difference in price (£20)

The opty 185 runs at 2.6 the 4800 at 2.4....

Should the opty be a better clocker??
