    Zalman Fatil1ty case

I do not know if this Zalman case has been released yet, and what the price might be (Newegg and ZipZoomFly do not have it yet). But it looks great and should be quiet. If it has been released, does anyone have any experience with it?

Yes, you are right -- Cleveland, Ohio. Ugh -- $370.00. Hope that we, with a bigger market, get a better price when it arrives.

Who'd pay extra for a case the price of which had absorbed some of the marketing costs of using that kid's name.

Well, let me tell you that I paid $239.00 for DeltaView PE, a file-compare program that did everything that the MS Word comparer did not do. I needed this app for my free-lance job as a translator, and it was worth every penny, rip-off or not (and they may now have ripped me off, since I suspect that they will only develop DeltaView Pro and leave PE behind, although I will give 'em hell about it).

So, even if Zalman is expensive, it seems impressive, and since I am going to have this computer for a lot of years (can't afford to build a new one too often :-), I might just invest in a good case and PSU.

By the way, what kind of input filter are you talking about, Oralpain (are you a dentist :-)? And can you expand on the "kid' thing, Robbie G?

What exactly would you like me to explain? "Kid" is just an expression.

i wouldnt get anything with silly names on it i prefer a sleek looking case none of the flashy disco lights and windows for me

p180 for me has been superb and probably the best looking case for me if a little on the big side but its housing alot of stuff so its needed till i build a nas setup and get a smaller watercooling setup and move to a cooler less powerhungry mobo and cpu

For the money you can buy a much better case + PSU + cooling, better looking and better built to be honest.
The fatality logos allover it make it much worse aswell, if it was a black brushed allu case with no logos I wouldn't mind it so much, but even then there is the pricing which is far too much for what it is. Zalman are much more a cooling component company than a case builder, Lian-Li do some much better and cheaper cases.

The problem with all of the fatality gear that is being shipped is that they make one product and then make it red and charge like twice as much for it, if I wanted a red case I'd buy from a company that I know makes really good cases, and then get my own red fans and cathodes (presonally I don't like having lights inside the case).

The filter that someone was on about is in the better cases there is a fine mesh filter between the outer case and the intake fan meaning that you don't get much dust inside the case. Some makers do removable and washable ones, others just do a wiremesh that's easy enough to clean the dust off. They do impeed airflow but then they also save your components a bit from being clogged and frying.

Robbie G, you said "Who'd pay extra for a case the price of which had absorbed some of the marketing costs of using that kid's name."

I just was not sure what you meant (I do know what "kid" means!). What you say implies that Zalman is a kid, and is selling hes/her name for marketing purposes. But that is applying logic to your sentence, and it was probably not at all what you meant to say. Since I am old and decrepid, not up on the "cool" stuff in computing, not being a"mod", etc., etc., I am probably missing a big point here, but would like to know what was behind your statement. Okay?
