    Whats an "SM Bus controller"?

Could someone tell me what an "SM Bus controller" does and why does it have a little excaimation mark next to it in the device manager? My IRQs are a bit messed up too, are they related?

    Thanks

i had this problem ages ago, still not sure what one is but you can sort the problem out by installing the drivers for your motherboard.

SMBus carries assorted diagnostics information - about half of onboard motherboard sensors are found on SMBus, for example (the rest use ISA)

for example, my motherboard uses two sensor chips. the IT87 is connected via ISA. the LM90 is connected via SMBus
