I'm gonna be buying a X-Fi Xtreme Music card and then some MX5021s in the near future but it really winds me up how I have to go fishing behind my case to switch from speakers to headset so I was wondering if there was any way to get both permanently plugged in with the new setup?
I've got an X-Fi and as far as I can see that isn't possible. I think they want you to buy a drive bay thing for that.

I've got a few of these (5.1 headset and speakers you see ) and have both the speakers and headset connected up at all times. If I need to use headphones only - the speakers get switched off.
