    I am now about to turn off my pc

    I am now about to turn off my pc for the first time in almost a month. Is that a bad thing?

    i cant see it being a problem i only turn mine of because it acts as an electric heater you cant turn down!!

    i read that its a good thing because things are not heating up then cooling down all the time.

    No it's absolutely fine. Modern computers are designed to be turned on and off frequently, and you'll be doing the planet a favour too

    Not really the case any more. Power saving technology means even when powered up things heat up and cool down all the time.

    Just had to turn mine off But it was only to install a vf900 on my graphics card. Why is yours going off? O_o

    I reboot mine whenever I can be bothered now, usually if i don't switch it off for ages and then decide to, it decides not to boot up again, or something else annoying happens.

    Same for when I don't turn it on for a month eg. coming back from holidays :S

    I always turn mine off when I'm not using it, waste of money otherwise!
