    Question processor change

    i have a sl75kv2-x motherboard and just have upgraded my processor from 700 to 1.2 gig but my system wont just says i still have 700 ?

    you need to change the dip-switches on your motherboard to reflect the changed multiplier of the new chip (9x if it's 133FSB or 12x if it's 100FSB)

    is there a web page were it will tell me the proper settings for the dip switches please i have a 133 i think(im new to computers)

    The settings for the dip switches are printed on the PCB (ie. on the motherboard itself near the CPU retention lever). Also, if you still have your manual, have a look at that. Otherwise, click here for your manual.
