    P4 2.8D Temps

    Hi all

    Is 60 degrees at rest to high for a P4 2.8D ?

    A bit high there if you are running it at stock speed and stock voltage. Normally it should idle at about 45C with an average HSF.

    Probably has to do with the HSF mounting/thermal material applying.

    sounds high, but if you have q-fan control set to control the temp to 60c at idle , then it will never get any lower unless you change the idle temp value for the control.

    I think my asus board came with 60c as low temp, and 80c as high.
