    Burning CD-R's on a DVD burner

    I can't think of a single case where it isn't, but you should check that your DVD-burner has the capability. No reason why it shouldn't so I would assume yes (look at the list of speeds).

    I havent seen any DVD burner that cannot burn CD. Not a single one, and I used /tested loads
    Primary kit:
    Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
    Epson RD-1

    Film Kit:
    Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2

    Or if you have the drive, Nero's freeware infotool will easily and quickly give you an answer.
