    A case of recommendation....

Have been trying to decide for quite some time now about which case to use for my next build.
Everything else is sorted (ish) except for the one bit in which it will all go!

There are certain elements of various cases available at the moment, that all appeal to me, and yet I can't seem to find one that fits the bill.

It will need to be able to cope with high end (read as hot) hardware, and as such be thermally efficient, like the Antec P180.

I'd like it to be not too heavy as it's going to be carted around alot, unlike the P180 or the Silverstone TJ-07 (14 and 13 kg respectively), although visually both of these cases are very appealing.

I would also like it to have the adaptability to cater for various changes, such as water cooling or the like, such as the Coolermaster Stacker 830.

The following list is a summary of the cases that I know I like at the moment, to give an idea as to the look and styling that I like:

    Antec P180B
    Silverstone TJ-07
    Silverstone TJ-09
    Coolermaster Stacker 830
    Antec Nine Hundred

If anyone out there could give me some recommendations, that would be great, or even tell me that what I'm looking for doesn't exist and that I'd have to compromise, that would be good to.

    Opinions please.

Been looking at the Antec site.....

Don't like the LanBoy.....not to my taste I'm afraid......prefer something with a cleaner frontage than that....

I just used an Antec Mirage, which is same as the Eclipse but with a door. Fantastic case. I've had about 10 different cases in the last 2 years, so have some experience.

A mate has the TJ-07, it looks great too, but huge and I never got to install in it or anything.

I also like the Antec P160.

*Do you really like the look of the Nine Hundred?

I've got the P160 and its a good case, but not without its limitations.

I've always been (and probably always will be) a supporter of the Lian Li cases, especially the v2000 - which is one of the best cases on the market

These are all great suggestions guys....

I don't mind the look of the Mirage....it looks a bit like a server case, but I don't really consider that to be a bad thing.....

I like the Lian Li G70, but it's too big (full tower).....would be sold if they brought out a G60.....same style but mid tower size, as the G50 is a m-ATX case....

Rack - There's just something about the Nine Hundred......can't quite put my finger on it at the moment, but I'm quite intrigued by it....

Out of the ones listed the CM Stacker is the best.

Sure its expensive, but its big, got loads of features and excellent airflow. Ive had my stacker for about 6 months and its be best case ive ever bought, the build quality is top notch

Akasa seems to be coming out of this one in a good light.....not something I'd thought about before, but the Mirage is quite appealing....

    Any other suggestions anyone?

what about that new antec with that huuuge fan on it, it looks like it could cool liquid rock can hold like 5 x120 mm fans and then one massive 200 mmm on the top... i had a eclipse but i think its boring looking, and after all its not THAT great its only got two 120 mm fans for cooling, only reason its good is because its big and everything is removable, bar that its nthing special.

Hexus review due shortly I believe.

Have you considered the Lian Li A10? Very similar to the P180.

I have the Eclipse and the P180 Silver. Both are good cases. Eclipse takes just a bit more to quieten it down.

Do you find that the P180 is a heavy case?

This is bearing in mind that I'm gonna want to move this thing about quite often.....
