4 cores and the extreme edition.........TBH I was expecting that model to cost more.

Fairly cheap. For such a premium CPU. The price for the top-end is usually very high.
I would definately not pay that for a CPU. But normally the high end CPUs cannot in reality justify the price. In this case, they may do for some...
