    Help Installing a Powersupply

The power supply in my shuttle took a dump so I replaced it. The only problem is I can't remember where all the plugs go. I know there were unused plugs, but I'm so afraid of frying my new power supply. also I can't figure out where to plug the fan attached to the tubes that go to the CPU. Any help would be appreciated.

Also what is overclocking and what are the benifits.

Model No. SN41GG2 Shuttle XPC Barebones

    PS Old model is PC40N250EV
    New model is PC40I2503

Supposedly the new one is supposed to be a direct replacement.

I just can't remember where the fan cooling fan connects to. I turned the PC on last night and it got really hot. I had to shut it down in less than 5 minutes. I just hope I didn't do any damage.

I don't have a manual for this unit. I don't remember getting it from the fella who built it for me. Is there somewhere online that might have it in PDF?

You know, sometimes the simplest ideas work. I spent hours on the net searching different forums to figure out where the connector went, but I never once thought of going to shuttle to try to find out

After your suggestion I went there and I discovered where the plug went. I just hope I didn't kill my CPU in the meantime.

I doubt it, the CPU will shutdown (or restart) the computer before it gets to a damaging heat.
