    OCZ GameXstream 700w noisy?

Just got it in my new system, after stopping all the fans, that is THE nosiy one

    (ignoring intel conroe stock fan)

Does anyone else have this? i just want to know if its a faulty fan or that is its temp, if that is its standard im rather anoyed its advertised as quiet

But after some research its apparently all about how sensitive your ears are.

Anyway, it would be a big hassle for me to ram it, ive also heard you can change the fan? any help or instructions on this would be much welcomed.

I had an FSP epsilon 700w and it was the same (faulty sensor i think), send it back mate, if that has become faulty so early in its life, it doesnt look good for the long term.

I only have 600W version but it's very quiet. If you change fan by yourself I think you'll void the warranty so I don't recommend that. I'm with Clunk, if you can't live with the noise then you should return it to the shop/manufacturer asap and get a replacement. I know how you feel, I once had to return my faulty PSU to Holland but these things can happen to anybody so you have to get over it.
