Watch out for hoovers!
They can be quite effective at generating static electricity!
Which you don't want to aim at your nice delicate CPUs etc.
I use an air blower that I have got for my SLR camera. Works very well.

Yup, me three Go down the compressed air route... not sure if somewhere like b&q or Robert Dyas sell them?
otherwise cpc.co.uk have them for <£10 (depending on size), i've already posted a link to maplin - perhaps head into a local store and pick one up to save postage?
If you want to be really carful, you could use a system designed to clean the sensor on a Digital SLR

It uses the possitive pressure through a vlalve to create suction on another tube. Pricey though.

These are cheaper and work just as well. Almost. Less than £10.

yeah. but they blow as opposed to suck the dust away
this thread has reminded me that i really need to get a Rocket...
I generally use compressed air with a vacuum sitting ouside gatheriing the dust as it leaves. It's especially effective with my arctic silencer as the instructions on cooling it are to 'put a vacuum cleaner on the end', or words to that effect.
I have a dirt Devil that cost nothing in Argos, hand-held vacuum cleaners are the business-I know you can get some with tube extensions on them as well.
For general use - 4" natural bristle paintbrush.
Works a charm. Good for surfaces such as the top of an Alu case too.
Can get in to fins in heatsinks etc.
For tricky/handy - Compressed air.
Gets heatsinks clean with less hassle but sprays the dust about.
Hoovers in general produce large amounts of static at the tip of the sookie thing.
So generally not good for PC's!
