i usually use a small paint brush to clean parts with, then hoover from the bottom of the case where im not going to suck up any capacitors etc

EDIT: for cleaning keyboards compressed air is a winner - saves taking all the keys out

Might have to try the compressed air idea on my keyboard at home, its in rather a sorry state. On the other hand, I could put the tenner towards getting another keyboard...hmm choices choices

    It's not a Hoover, it's a vacuum cleaner!

Funny how Dyson is in danger of becoming a verb as well. I have heard people using the phrase "to dyson the carpet".

Compressed air going in the direction the air flows in the case and then a vacuum cleaner sucking the dust up outside the case is a winner. As for USB vacuum cleaners, that's nothing. I'm sure I've seen a USB tea/coffee warmer mug thing (I assume it's a heating element in a cup with a stand) and I'm sure everyone knows about Scan's USB Missile Launcher.
