Has 'EE' so I guess this is it.
No unless I'm mistaken (and I very well could be) there are 3 different versions of the 3800. The standard one (89W), the EE (65W) and the EE SFF (35W). I know that OEMs got first choice on the EE SFF chips, not sure if any are available yet.
I can't see much of a price difference between the EE and the standard, and I don't know much much the EE SFF will be, but it does beg the question why didn't AMD just bring out the 35W version!?? Is there any performance hit?
According to this, no performance hit:

From what I've just read, the EE SFF versions are good for HTPCs, but otherwise the added expensive doesn't justify getting them over the normal version.
yea i intend on solving in the HTPC, not bothered about overclocking, stock speeds will be fine. Hope the SFF models become more avaliable soon.
if you mean in AM2

cheers buff i checked out scan first and thats not the model I am after, its the EE SFF one. Not too sure if they are even out yet, read a review a while back but cant seem to hunt one down.
what's the difference between EE & EE SFF?
edit: apparently about 30W
Ady I really don't think you'd notice a difference between the ee and ee sff. You could always underclock it as well to get the temperatures down.
doddsy yea your probabaly right about the temps but since there is apparently lower wattage model I thought i give it a go if there isnt too much difference in the price.
thanks for the help peeps, i will just have to keep an eye out for it
