P5B Watercooling - MOSFET's

Hey all,
Just after some words of wisdom from people who have water cooling on a P5B deluxe.

I want to put a waterblock on the northbridge as there will not be much airflow there with watercooling, however I'm then worried about the mosfets. Do I really need to put some RAMsinks on them? I haven't bought any, and already blown my budget, another £10-20 on ramsinks is not what I want to do, but I already have the waterblock.

Do you think it would be possible to keep the exising cooler on the fets while still removing the section from the northbridge allowing the waterblock to be placed??

I assume because I'm going to overclock the CPU, and because it's a 4MB Cache 6600 that I'm going to need cooling on the mosfets, right?

Any other suggestions?

What a lot of people do is just put a fan facing the cpu area to provide the necessary airflow.

I bought some swift bga ramsinks to cool my fets...and a fan

OK, ramsinks it is...
I don't want to leave them bare, as obviously Asus thought it was necesary to put somethiing on there.

Zalman ramsinks, cheap and work perfectly. Youll need 9 of them, so 2 sets

just noticed that you dont want to spend more money on them....what you can do is grab the asus cooler firmly with the heatpipe in one hand, and the mosfet cooler part in the other and slowly twist, then the other way, youll hear the glue crack and the mosfet cooler bit will slide off the heatpipe, that will narrow it down to 1 set of heatsinks for the rest of the mosfets.

Have a Aquaextreme MP-05 cpu block on my Conroe on my P5B and my only original worry was the cap which are right next to the cpu area touching but the block sits just above them on one side.

Have had very good temps and clocked it so far to 3.6ghz. Know that some people have tried to cool the mosfets but imo if you have good cae air flow it's not a problem.
