Well I ran orthos for around 7 hours over night (with the ram+cpu stress test). It got my cpu to 63c load. I guess it's stable then? I've ordered a nice artic freezer 7 pro to try and cool my CPU better (knowing me it'll probably not make any difference.
what cpu is that you have tested if its a core2duo thats pretty warm arent the shutoff temps 75c
That temp is fine (i've seen higher temps when running orthos). But will 7 hours pretty much make my system stable for anything? As I've said - I have ordered a new cooler.

I remember Clunk said in another thread recently that he got an error at 15 hours or something, so might be worth running it longer if you want to be 100% sure. I run it for 12.
I think 7 hours is bit too short for checking stability, I once got error around 8hours. And yes, Clunk told me he got error after 11 hours 59 minutes and another one around 15 hours so I think 12 is minimum and 24 for more reliable result. If you think you can't stand boredom of 24 hours test, try running cpu intensive application like benchmark on top, that will stress your cpu further and you tend to get more reliable result in shorter testing time.
If you want to be sure, let it cool down (turned off for a while) and then run it again at the same settings for another 7-8 hours and see if it fails...if it doesnt, do the same again. On occasion, Ive had it fail at the same settings after just a few mins, when it had already run overnight. Saying that though, it was right on the edge of what it could do
