    Question Which Hdds

    Currently upgrading my pc

I have the following so far

    A8N32-SLI
    X2 4400
    2GB Patriot
    X1900XTX

Now i cant decide on which hdds to get

I want to run the primarys as raid 0, i was considering a pair of 74gb raptors, is this the best to go for, or can i get similar performace cheaper?

Also looking for an esata caddy or enclosure and one/two drives to go in for external storage.

    What can you suggest?

Only drives i dont really want are maxtors..

    Used WD and Seagate enough...

    Thanks

A pair of raptors are seriously noisy, they are fast though. If noise is an issue, have a look at the Samsung drives, they are cheap and very quiet and speedwise are great.

Another vote for the Samsung Spinpoint, I have a very quiet 250GB SATA-II P120.

thanks all, so a pair of 250gb spinpoints, they are cheap...

So what about a esata enclosure and an additional drive for storage?

Total budget for all of this is around £220

    Thanks
