hi, for those of you that haven't seen my thread im building a PC for the 1st time, im getting a intel 6300 dual core, Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard, 2x 512mb DDR2, either a ATI X800 or an nVidia 7300, DVD RW, and a 200 or 250bg HDD and 2 fans, a 120mm and a 80mm, just wondering will a 350W PSU be ok for all of this? and also with the 2 fans could this overheat with a 3 GHZ for each core overclock on the CPU.

Get a good Heatsink to stay on the safe side? something like a Scythe Ninja?
Oh and get OEM version of E6300 if you are gonna get a new HS!

Get a decent branded PSU, seasonic, enermax etc, you should be ok with 350w, but it doesnt leave you much room for upgrades later.

Follow the good advice given by Clunk and the psu calculator he's recommended is one of the better ones IMO.

Personally, I wouldnt recommend xclio psu's - you would probably be better off with something like this

beware of cheap psu's, they will cost you in the long run.

i've redone it all, gonna get a 430W Enermax for £38 from scan. as scan is much cheaper than overclockersUK ( and after reading about people experiences with overlcockersUK iwas put off a bit)

Good move aswell.
Enermax PSUs are excellent and very good build quality.

You are also right NOT using OCUK...They are very poor
