Help with bios settings on new rig please

Hi Guy's i have not long bought the following upgrade.

    Intel Core 2 DUO E6600
    Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi
    Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4
    Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower
    ATI X1900XT

Can any one advise me on what to expect and the best settings to achieve this i.e. bios settings etc. One thing though i would rather not reach full potential and have stability than push the envelope too far.

I've not overclocked for a long, long time but i hear it's almost a criminal offence not to overclock a Conroe!!!

    Thanks guys.

Well, you seem to have good cooling for the CPU but I hear the Conroe's are OCing well on stock Vcore. I would suggest setting your memory speed to 533 mhz (1:1 ratio with the CPU) and slowly working the FSB up from there. The 975 chipsets seem to do better with 1:1 OCing as compared to using dividers. Set the memory timings manually and the Vdimm to 2.1v. You may need to add Vcore depending on how far you want to push it.

if you dropped your ram divider to 667mhz and keep it at cas4 bump the copu fsb up to 325 you will be about 2.95ghz with your memory at ddr2 813 which should be fine easily if you drop to a 1:1 ratio unless you get to 400 fsb you are going to be running your ram under speed which will slow things down a little for you
