About LinkBacksI honestly dont know what he's done but my brothers pc is restarting on startup. I'm guessing its probably a virus but the scan wont run properly in safe mode. The wierd thing is its already loaded most of its startup things when it restarts.

select the disable automatic restart bit from the f8 boot menu and post what the blue screen error says here so we see what is causing the restart

Thanks for the replies guys, I deleted a LOAD of stuff in safe mode (no wonder my web has been slow recently, he must have been downloading app almost constantly, his pc was full of free themes etc) and its working again. I've disabled auto-restart just in case and if it does it again I'll let you know
