Just read the manual and yes, F10 is the key for nVRAID setup!
CTRL-S or F4 is the SiL controller - you can disable this in the BIOS - advanced > Onboard devices configuration > silicon image controller
Sound like the problem all along was just having NVRAID disabled in the BIOS.
In the user manual, section 5-23 onwards (page 141 in the PDF manual) tells you all about this.
