seting up a raid help

if this is in the wrong part of the forums then plesse can a mod move it to the right part

i'm trying to set up a striping raid but some how windows is seeing 2 drives still instead of one big drive
i have set this up in the bios right becasue the bios is reporting it as a 305 gig drive

is it 1 big drive in "my computer"

if its just showing in the device manager as 2 thats because its part hardware and part software raid, my nvidia stripe is the same.

no it's showing up as two drive in drive mangment

if you show as one drive in my computer it's fine. your computer my be showing it to windows as two drives in order to make drive diagnostics easy

check the bios to make sure the sata drives your using are set to raid mode and not sata mode ?
and can u link me to the manual so i can have a look if that doesnt work ?

your fine every thing is okay the physical drives have just been shown to windows. everything looks fine.

nah bud your wrong, it should show as one drive in drive managment, i have the same setup as the original poster.

well i'v made a new windows cd useing nite and added the drivers, but when i got to format it's still seeing two drives.

Yeah it's better if we knew which motherboard you have there Elspuddy. Post your sys spec please.

whops sorry GoNz0 did not see that one, but thay are set to raid mode (it's under ide fuction and all i can do it set them to enable or disabled. )
and it's a dfi lanparty UT nf3 250gig

well it must be something to do with the board, if the board did its job windows would see 1 drive. are you sure the array is active ?

bios say one drive of 300 gig when it post's so i'm guessing it's active
