lol, because they want to sell you more memory? And mayve they are assuming you will upgrade to a 64bit OS? I dunno, lol. I have 4GB in mine and it just shows up as 3GB. Im liking your system btw

Lol, probably a fair few do it, i only bought 4GB because i figured i had a 64bit processor, so i'd eventually upgrade to a 64bit OS, however, soon as i get some money coming in again i think im gonna have to get an intel quad core. Got a link to the site? i'll see what it says about my setup

lol, i never even noticed it, its up there for me as well, i did it, i dunno what to make of the results, i dont think its recommending me to upgrade, but its listing a load of "compatible upgrades" though im not sure how a 2GB kit is an upgrade on 2 x 2GB kits

maybe is reads the serial# from the ram and knows its not crucial, so its "not good enough" and throws up its brand of 2gb kit

a little misleading for a major company, but i guess you have to accept that nowdays..

    still i prefer corsair

lol, maybe, though i dont think the timings on the recommended "upgrades" are even as good as the ones on the memory i have, though i may be wrong because i bought it a while ago
