There is a PC in aldi at the weekend and i called the helpline they told me the motherboard thats in it is a MS7318.. googled it and it didnt come up with anything.. does anyone know if this is even a motherboard?

Probably a proprietary one that MSI are making for them. Had a Medion from Aldi several years ago which had an ASUS mobo, but ASUS didn't officially recognise it (nor unoffically for that matter). BIOS support came from Medion.
