Little help please! Mobo and CPU combinations

    Hi all,

After a disastrous weekend with blown up PSU's and broken motherboards, i've decided to start again with my uncles' PC.

I haven't built one for a couple of years so could someone please help me out with a bit of an upgrade?!

I need a Mobo and CPU, not completely entry level, but decent enough.

Anyone suggest some good combo's, preferably AMD, but i'll go intel as it's not my PC!

    Thankyou

Seconded - no point having the latest greatest core 2 duo if he's only using it to word process/browse the web
