the usual suspects.
Pioneer, NEC and LiteOn. I personally like Pioneer drives, always have. Plextors are cracking drives too, but i don't know if they are worth the price premium these days. Although i have owned a few of them in my time too.
My vote is for NEC, have heard good things about the Pioneer and Plextor drives though.
I have Plextor, but they are premium price and I am not sure they are really worth it nowadays... LG GSA-H10N is good at £22 but is ivory, so depends if you want black.... LiteON SHM-165P6S-02C is a good drive as is Sony DRU-820A
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
if you can find a benq, bag it
LG is worth its price...definitely...
Vinod
ive got a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=CD-080-SA
Its amazing!
Obviosly i didnt buy of OC but they do have pretty pictures!![]()
I would steer clear of the Sony's due to their "this is copyrighted, sod off" feature. 0_o
I've had many LiteOns and they have always been great.
Any of the makes posted above are good though.
EDIT - LG's... Hmm, 2 of my mates have had them, and they didn't last very long. :s
(May have just been that model?)

NEC are usually good and affordable, as are LG. Plextor are usually very good but only worth the price premium for a few.
