I want a psu which has a clever cable management system about 650w+ that is going to be no more than £140 max! any suggestions?

hmmm, have you thought of modular, you can just not install the cables you dont need. My Hiper type-r (only 580w tho) is awesome, its been really stable and i only have the essential cables connected
Hardware:Contrary to the odd name and translucent-grey color, Pocari Sweat does not taste like sweat
Main PC - See 'My System'
Server - Athlon XP 1700+, 1GB, 500GB HD
Laptop - Compaq AMD Turion 64 X2, 60GB HD, 1GB
Media Centre Shuttle - P4 3.0 Skt 775 Shuttle, 1GB, 120GB HD
NAS - 400GB
Home Entertainment - Xbox 360 with 37" HD LCD TV, Acoustic Energy Aegis EVO A speakers (5,1), Yamaha RXV359 AV reciever
Media Centre II - X2 4000+, 1GB, 400Gb Vista Ultimate
I was thinking something with a bit more power. but I have been looking at the hyper type-r 580 but isn't there anything newer and better, for what I want which is for it to be neat and tidy since I have a window. I would like to get away with spending £100-120
Seasonic have their M12 but it's more like £145, although it's 700w and is very stable.
Other than that Tagan have a few options around your price bracket and again are very cool, quiet and stable.
Or the other way is to cut off the cables you don't want, like I have and then when you need them again just re-attach em. A little extreme but my case is very tidy and I don't have to buy a new PSU
yup as above mate, was going to suggest look at the Seasonic range

Ok cheers, I think I have seen a few like this. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=443866
I think this is a neat and tidy one
Or this http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=465740
this one is a hyper.
Power supplies, two basic choices - Modular and Fixes cables.
Cable managemend is not something that PSUs provide, although modular means cables not in use can be removed, cable management is part of the builder's task when builidng the system.
Eitherway I would go for Seasonic M12 or S12-Energy+
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
avoid the Tagan 700w dual engine one, unless you like a loom with virtually no molex connectors and some el cheapo plastic adapters that short out after a few uses!
the power was fine (apart from the short circuits), but the fans also stuck on on mine and it was noisy, so i wasnt impressed.
Ok then so if a Tagan is a no no then what about this?

I also like the look of this one quite alot http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=465740 has anyone seen any reviews?

Silverstone are very good i'm running 1 myself. I upgraded from a Tagan 480, thought the tagan was very good but i needed more power. Lee Garbutt Review SilverStone Zeus ST75ZF 750 Watt Power Supply Review looks pretty good. With silverstone silverstone i found the cable management to be much more flexible & easier to work with than the tagan. The 24pin power lead on the tagan was like wrestking a snake - very stiff & inflexible.
luck
Yes well I think I might as well wait as I have been told the prices off most components drop a lot just after Christmas is that right?

I cant see why PSU prices will drop anytime soon.
As for needing more power then the Hyper-R.....unless your going to be running SLI 8800GTXs, it will do.
Check my system to see what it can power without issues
