hard disk mp3 player that appears as a removable disk?

    Hi,

I'm after a hard disk mp3 player (preferably rather small) that appears as a removable disk in Windows and Linux, without the need to install drivers.

Most flash players meet this requirement (e.g. Creative Muvos) but the hard disk ones are another matter. Apple, Sony and I believe Creative require either drivers or 3rd party apps.

    Suggestions appreciated!

    Cheers,

thanks for the ideas guys. the iriver sounds most likely - any other suggestions? It's a shame that the Creative ones lack this feature

Might have to look at alternative iPod firmwares...

im using an 8gig nano atm with sharepod on it. pretty nifty software which is saved on the player, i simply load it up from there, add the music and it sends it over quickly. no need for itunes or the like
