    noob question...but please help :)

    Ordered a DVD drive, came with no wire, will it come with another part of the PC i ordered such as mobo or PSU or something?

    You should get the necessary cable with your motherboard matey.

    was the drive purchased as OEM or retail, did it come in a box or a static bag?
    Is the drive s-ata or IDE?
    The motherboard will usually come with both these cables to accomodate.

    IDE, OEM...dam i didnt read that bit , i suck.

    hopefully mobo will have the wire...or im screwed!

    yep, you'll get an IDE cable and a floppy cable in your motherboard box, unless thats OEM too

    Theres actually a couple of places on the web that sell or used to sell oem mobos. So it is possible to get one, but very unlikely

    If its from scan then it will definately not be OEM

    Even if you don't get the cable you could buy one for about 50p or someone here would likely have a spare they could send you but, as above, you will almost certainly get one with your motherboard.

    yes i did get one and all my PC is put together and working fine
