    Last componant. Monitor. 22inches

Im stuck as to what monitor to buy, Iv decided that 22inch is what i want.

At the moment its between the .

    Samsung SM225BW 22. 295

    22" Viewsonic VG2230WM 311.38

Cant find much info on either, a lot about backlight bleed from the samsung ( will i actually notice this in real life situations, like watching movies.)

On the viewsonic i cant find any reviews at all.

I really dont want a monitor with a large area around the screen, and really no need for speakers, i imagine that the viewsonics could be turned off.

Some help would be really helpful , thanks.

The samsung is great, especially for the money. Viewsonic are a pain in the arse to deal with if something goes wrong.

The Samsung has backlight bleed, and if that is a problem for you, then you are going to need to spend a bit more. The backlight isnt a problem for me, and im fussy.

Moving from crt, i noticed viewing angle more than backlight bleed, but if you have a very dark background, you will see lighter patches round the edges and the corners, but to me, its not a problem. The samsung does require tilting back slightly to get the best picture. Also, when you first turn it on, it looks all washed out and dull, but by default, the magicolor is disabled, but turn that on and it all comes to life. For the money, it is pretty awesome.

I can also vouch for the SM 225BW. Its a great monitor, ive had zero issues with mine and no dead pixels.

I got mine from CCL for £269, im not sure if theyve still got it on offer, but def worth checking at that price
