I need some advice please

Was going to try and get hold of one of the above "all in ones" as it is a dying breed of Epson machines that can take cheap rebranded ink cartridges.

I thought the DX3800/50 were able to use rebranded cartridges without a problem but have been told that

without Print Head Modification the printer will fail after 2-6 months.

Epson now carry out an ink sample test on every printer submitted to Express Centres. Your warranty with Epson is then voided when the test shows use of non Epson Inks.

Does anyone have one of the above printers and can verify what's quoted is nonsense?
