    Very slim really, unless you drop it really.

    What model is it?

    Unless its an IBM it should last quite a while, if not RMA it.

    only the 60GXP were really faulty... the 120 and 180GXP series are far better

    but still... Maxtor/WD/Seagate are all much better!
