    Whats up with my Motherboard/BIOS?

Every time i reboot, i get the message "System is running in Fail Safe mode, press F1 to continue or press DEL to enter BIOS".

I keep entering the BIOS and changes my settings, save and exit, then rebooting, but it's also reverts back to fail safe mode.

What could be causing this? Dead CMOS battery (the time is always right). As far as i am aware, none of my hardware is playing up - apart from my PSU making a noise from time to time, like a faulty fan (a quick tap on the side of the case sorts it out).

    Any ideas?

just a thought: have you tried clearing the CMOS (mobo jumper and take out the battery) and then trying again?

otherwise, perhaps you need to flash your BIOS

As stated above, clear CMOS then load optimised defaults.

If that doesn't work, its probably the battery.

Have you added any new hardware? If you have unplug it and try again.

You could try taking hardware out 1 by 1 to see if the error reoccurs. Then you will know that, that piece of hardware is ok.

Have you overclocked your pc, it might not like the fsb you have chosen.

    Just a few suggestions.

    Good luck
