Anyone know a good multi-function printer?

My pop wants a good photo printer / scanner combo thing.

    Here's the requirements:

    • Wants good photo printing quality - won't be used for everyday printing

    • Scanner will be mainly used for photocopying etc nothing extensive

    • He's not too bothered about fax capability (although that would be a plus)

    • He downloads all his photos to the PC first so doesn't really need lots of memory slots

And a max of about £70....

    Any ideas?

    P.S. He doesn't like Lexmark...

I have a Lexmark one and can't fault it, usually the cheapest but they make that up in the price of the ink cartridges!

I've used a Canon before, works perfectly fine. The only thing I don't like about is the fact that I can't use it (at least properly, without hassle) on GNU/Linux.

Went for an HP 3180 in the end. Only £40 and is better than others twice its price. Cheers all for the info!

    I got a Canon IP2000.

Old model, I know, but you can buy ink cartridges from Morrison's or Tesco for about £3 for both colour and black. Saves a fortune in the long run.

Brilliant photo quality on decent glossy photo paper.

Might be hard to find though - ebay?
