    Will it boot?!

    OK got a little plan....

    The Plan
I want to hook my PC up to the telly downstairs......

    The Snag
As the monitor weighs a ton I'm wondering if i only have the TV connected to the card... will it be visible to me when i turn it on....

or am I going to have to move the monitor downstairs to click in the properties that i want to have video out on the TV?

TV should be picked up as the only available output when you turn the computer on, and pic should pop straight up...did when I booted to me 14 inch tv, although pic was awful because of the resolution!
    Well Hello!

It should boot OK on the TV, but Windows may turn off the TV display when it boots, if your driver is set to not have it enabled.

just had a bit of an experiment with my setup cos its all in the 1 room - i have my tv connected via svideo & i had to have both connected to get the right options selected in display properties

    worked great!!

The svhs - phono cable left the desktop a little fuzzy.... (film was crystal clear)
The svhs - svhs had it perfect.... I was amazed how much it looked like it was really a monitor

Once I found the Pal setting in the "display settings" it was just sweet

acidrainy@ - it works fine for a "normal" sized monitor. unfortuntely a 8 foot projector makes the ati9700pro svhs output look crap!
