what you gonna use it for cpu is not bad fro laptop but ram would need upgrading and cd drive acquired possibly

i'd say as charger is going be about £10-15 i'd offer him £80 and see what he said

ive got some RAM and a 40GB laptop HHD laying about to stick in it

would just have to buy a CD drive and a charger

i dont think id use it that much but ive been after a laptop for a little while now and the price is right

just dont want to be paying over the odds for it

    but for what hes selling

    am i getting a bargain

depends on how bad you want it the guys on here have found so many laptops going recently for about £200 on different sites that are around the spec

    pentium m's varying from 1.4-17ghz
512mb ram dvd drive win xp etc

so as i said personally i would say £80 would be about the most i'd pay

laptop prices have dropped alot recently they arent worth the premium anymore

If youve got £100 to spend on a laptop and cant find anything similar to the price and spec, and have the spare parts, aside the charger, then id say get it and take the chance.

If youve got a bit more to spend, then id suggest you look around and get a better deal, one which comes with a bigger HD, DVD drive, charger etc...

You could get a better one if you looked around, altho id suggest after xmas, for the january sales.

Do you know in advance how much the CD-drive and charger will set you back? Depending on whether you can find a reputable seller of spare parts, this may end up costing you a further £50 or so, in which case it doesn't end up as much of a bargain.

The fact that you are asking the question seems to imply that you aren't sure that it is - in which case give it a miss and get the machine that meets your specs.
