Low Profile Sound Card

Im looking for a low profile sound card for the Advent 2003, has to be as cheap as possible (under £20 really). I have looked but cant find any. the pc has onboard sound but that has died and i need a new sound card but needs to be low profile any suggestions?

I think you will have trouble. Because all motherboards now have onboard sound, the only sound cards avalable will be high end ones with lots of features. Also even when cheap sound cards where common, they where rarely low profile because of the space needed on the back for connectors.

I would take a look on ebay to see if any old ones are arround, but I would not spend much money.

Also, if the sound on your motherboard has gone, it is likeley that outher components will die as well. I would start shopping for a replacement motherboard, You may find that you can get one quite cheaply if all you need are basic features.
