    Help a new bod please!

First, Hi to everybody out there and a Very Happy Christmas to all.
My partner has a computer that is about six years old running ME. I have had to change the PSU because of a failing fan. The old PSU had a power connection for the monitor but the new one has not. Am I right in thinking that the monitor would run from a normal power outlet. You could save me from blowing her monitor to bits....thanks.

Yes a normal power plug would fit ur monitor, just make sure u have a decent ampage in the plug.

It should be obvious but make sure you turn the monitor off when you turn the PC off. If you have a cheap monitor, like I had, it might 'burn' a black dot on the monitor otherwise.

Thanks for your replies and help and I will make sure the monitor goes off with the computer and check the plug ampage, thanks again.
