    Question Blast From The Past

Hey guys long time no see, actually I doubt anybody here will remember me.! Suffice to say that I've been extremely busy, but I'm looking forward to some restful time coming up. Anyways, to the problem at hand.

I built my sisters boyfriend a computer out of parts I had lying around, as his computer was from the late 90's. Anyways, so I'm using a NF7-S, 2500+, 1 gig of ram, 6600GT, etc. System works great (I should hope so!) except I can't get front audio. I can get rear audio, and the mic input works, but I can't get any sound out of the front speakers (in this case earphones). Everything is enabled in the bios, jumpers are set correctly, earphones are tested and working. I'm thinking that possibly those outputs are damaged, but I really have no way to test. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks guys!

I'm sure you can buy some new audio sockets from Maplin to replace them.

The audio outputs for the front of MY case have a connector that connects to the analogue audio connectors where you'd typically plug in CD or DVD drives for their analogue audio.

So maybe Maplin or a similar shop can sell you what I'm talking about, shouldn't be expensive either so you don't have much to lose.

Sorry for the confusion. It's not the front audio connectors on the case that aren't working, it's the front audio connectors on the board. So when I set the drivers to play 5.1 I can get sound out of the rear speakers but not the front. If I set it to 2.1 I get no sound at all.
