I'm sorry if you find my attitude tiresome, however, all of my posts in this thread were for the OP who asked why the boards were so cheap, and I have given my opinion, based on my past experiences with overclockers. Just as I would recommend a retailer that gives good service to people, I will always warn people about ordering from places like overclockers that have horrendous customer service.

    ...in your experience, of course.

I and others find for instance Scan to be lacking in many ways (the stock system and matching it to orders in particular), yet many others here find Scan a wonderful company. That's not to say we don't appreciate their good points and positives that come with them, of course, but we don't blindfold ourselves.

It's each to their own. It doesn't mean everyone has the same experience.

You'll struggle to find many here who do support Overclockers, simply because of the history involved with them - that doesn't mean non-Hexites follow that path.

I keep an open mind on companies, and deal with them on my own experience (unless a concrete reason otherwise). OcUK, while far from being the best, are also far from the worst.

Thanks. Yeah, I've just read about this poor USB2 performance stuff over at DFI forum. As I use USB wireless network adapter and some other USB2 components, I think I'll pass. Also I smell something fishy about them emphasizing the fact that all rma request has to be made directly to DFI but not OcUK. This is not the kind of attitude I'd expect to see from online retailer, it seems as if they are expecting a lot of returns in the first place and refusing to take that responsibility. Probably I'm just bit too nervous tho. Anyway, I hope you'll recieve good board Hasnath. Sorry to make you feel nervous

Ive had a few DFI's before and they've always had that return to holland rma service whether its DOA so i'm not too fussed about that.

Actually i've had good service from OCUK in the past including rma's so I think this time i'm gonna be optimistic about this one, if not you'll mostly find just another rant about OCUK here

I do keep an open mind. I do buy a lot of stuff, and I always allow some give and take with retailers, credit where credit is due and vice versa. I use a lot of different retailers, and after giving a few chances, there have been some notable ones that I will not use any more and the top of the list is overclockers. The history between overclockers and hexus makes no odds to me, what matters to me is the service you get if something goes wrong, and that is why I always tell people to avoid buying from there.

The reason OcUK stopped accepting DFI boards was the DFI interaction with retailers (or lack of) if something went wrong. Scan apparently stopped selling the boards completely for the same reason.

Can't say I've seen many issues for consumers mind.

Thanks for the info gav, maybe you're right but from my point of view if they can't provide enough support for the stuffs they are selling then they should stop selling it like Scan did. Especially when they know that manufacturer's support is lacking and people who bought the item may struggle in the future to get propper support from them.

Many companies only deal with goods direct from the consumer. Most (all) hard drives are a frequent example. Because WD, Maxtor, Seagate and Samsung all go direct, does that mean that Scan, OcUK and others should stop selling their goods? It's a common practice, just perhaps not in the motherboard arena.

It doesn't mean they won't support you, just that the official route is direct.

Well to me, it still sounds like a bit of excuse really... Especially there are other places (like dabs for example) who offer better returns policy, so why can't OcUK do the same?
