    Cases, Cases, Cases....

I'm looking for a new case to replace my Lian-li pc7-II and ideally i want it black and blue like the rest of my desk (the misses is not too keen on said scheme, but sod her!)

I've been looking at the Lian Li PC-A05B Aluminium Midi-Tower - Black on ocuk for £75 ish cos it looks ace and i really like Lian-li quality - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...-087-LL&tool=3
Potentially a bit small, dno if i would lose some of the cooling via the size

Any other suggestions for cases under £100 (i don't care about size) but more keen to have a brushed black aluminium cooling, any lights should be blue, and adaquate cooling (rest of pc specs are on profile)

    Any ideas?

Yeah, they look gorgeous in person. The Antec 900s just look really tacky by comparison to this or a Lian-Li, in my opinion. Actually they just look tacky full stop.

    Re: Cases, Cases, Cases....

I have always used an Akasa eclipse although I just got hold of an Antec P182 and I was really impressed with the quality of it. The internal quality in terms of looks doesn't as good as the eclipse but it has some really nice touches to keep it quiet.

Both are available for under £100 and both are worth it.

I recommend the Eclipse as well

Although that Silverstone linked to above does look nice. Would have to see what the internal cooling is like - is it the one with the duct/tunnel for the cpu?

Pictures = 1000 words ..etc etc

Edit: Couple of differences to the one pictured and the non "Gloria" model that Scan sells. The intake grill at the front of the HDD cage and fan doesn't exist, and neither does the exhaust grill - you get nickel plated wire grills - and you get 120mm front and rear fans included.

    Re: Cases, Cases, Cases....

The Lian-Li PC-A05 is a great case, sure it's short but it's very deep and perfect for sitting under the desk out of the way. In terms of cooling there's a couple of things you can do to enhance it, either get a BS-01 blower (www.kustompcs.com) to go into the back or get a modified side panel like I did.

I like the look of the Silverstone (hadn't found them that cheap before) and it is certainly comparible to my pc7 i currently have.

Saw this on the Lian-li site and sorely tempted to wait until it's released :d

    Re: Cases, Cases, Cases....

It was a toss up between the Lian-Li (classic series) and Silverstone with me, too. It was price and the 4 USB ports at the front that swung it over the lack of motherboard tray, which I could live without. It was a close run thing ..then I saw it in person.

A sopped up vacuum cleaner, I just got myself a Lian-Li V2000 to replace that case, I couldn't be happier, the V1000 is the same design if you don't need something so massive.
